Privacy Policy

Information you give us directly

• Contact form. Name, email, company, company website, and your message — used to respond to your inquiry, nothing else.
• Account signup (Developer Portal, Customer Portal, Lead Dashboard). Name, email, phone number, and a password — the password is one-way hashed; we never store or can recover the plain text.
• Product purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. We keep your email to confirm the purchase and enable download/support.
• Product reviews. Your email (to confirm the review is really from you) and the review text you submit.

Information we collect automatically

We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand overall traffic to this site — which pages are visited, roughly how, and from where. Plausible is cookieless: it doesn't use tracking cookies, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't track you across other websites. It reports aggregated numbers (page views, referrers, device type, approximate country) that can't be tied back to you individually.

Separately, this site uses a small amount of browser storage (not advertising cookies) for its own functionality:

• Login sessions — a secure, short-lived session cookie that keeps you signed in to the Developer/Customer Portal or Lead Dashboard. Required for those features to work at all.
• Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Stored only in your browser, never sent to us.
• Remembered email — if you check "Remember me" at login, we save your email address (never your password) in your browser so you don't have to retype it next time.

How outreach works

Separately from this site's own visitors, CloudCompass AI identifies potential clients from publicly available business information (news, public company data, and similar sources) and may send a one-time introductory email. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link that immediately stops future contact — we never sell or share this information with third parties.

How we use information

To respond to inquiries, deliver purchases, operate your account, understand site usage in aggregate, and — only where you've given us a reason to reach out — to follow up about a project. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties except the service providers who help us run this site (Stripe for payments, Plausible for analytics), each bound to use it only for that purpose.

Data retention

We keep account and contact data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service you asked for, and typically delete inactive lead/contact records after a reasonable period. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see Contact below.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any outreach email using the link in that email.
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing us (below).
• Clear your browser's local storage/cookies at any time to remove the theme preference, remembered email, and session.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
